Our History
In 1995, Wishbone started in a tiny storefront on Gough Street in San Francisco's Hayes Valley. Three years later, Wishbone found a larger location at its current Irving Street corner- nearly four times the original store's size. Over the past fifteen years, Wishbone has grown deep roots in the Inner Sunset; continuously experimenting with fun and quirky product lines to delight and amuse shoppers. Wishbone has been voted one of San Francisco's best gift shops by the SF Bay Guardian and featured in press both locally and nationwide.

The Owners
Founders Gay Lam and Cory Villano were barely out of college when Wishbone was started. The early years featured their own letterpress greeting cards, handmade cards, and ten cent cocktail monkeys. The owners have a background in painting and fine art, and have a love of the quirky, kitschy, or even rusty, and anything miniature or jumbo.
